Spend the day in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, enjoying the exhibition, ”Endangered Species: Flora & Fauna in Peril,” and learning more about the plight of endangered species in North America. The day begins at the Wildling Art Museum in Los Olivos where Michael Tobias Ph.D. will provide scientific background about some of the species depicted in the exhibition. Tobias is a global ecologist, author and filmmaker, and President of the Dancing Star Foundation, a California non-profit public benefit corporation which has helped to support the Wildling’s exhibition.

After lunch on your own, the class will reconvene at the Museum to meet some of the local artists whose work was selected for the exhibition through an international juried art competition and to hear about some of the challenges this topic presented for them.

Class is limited to 20. Registration required. To register, call the Museum at 688-1082.
