This exhibit featured 20 photographs by award-winning photographer Subhankar Banerjee designed and produced by the California Academy of Sciences, San Francisco, California with the generous support of Lannan Foundation. Banerjee devoted two years to documenting the pristine Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and, with his Inupiat guide, traveled 4,000 miles to capture in breath-taking detail the area known as the American Serengeti. His intimate work brings to the Wildling Art Museum the opportunity to partake of an ecosystem that has survived untouched for thousands of years.
