The Wildling Art Museum in Los Olivos offered a four-session non-credit course, “A Short History of American Landscape Painting: From Sea to Shining Sea,” under the auspices of Allan Hancock College, beginning February 9. This slide-illustrated course was taught by Penny Knowles, Executive Director of the Wildling Art Museum, and covered the history of American landscape painting from Thomas Cole to Georgia O’Keeffe. The class met the second and fourth Wednesday mornings, 9:30-11 a.m. at the Santa Ynez Valley Grange Hall in Los Olivos. Students could register at the first class meeting on February 9.
