Wildling Benefit Live Auction 2007

1. Chocolate Decadence Cake with fresh raspberries, a confection for 8 (eight) guests made by famed specialty baker, Dawn Peters of Decadence~Fine Cakes & Confections. Chocolate flourless cake with layers of dark chocolate mousse and fresh raspberries glazed in a chocolate ganache.

2. A framed giclee print by renowned artist Clyde Butcher. “Fakahatchee #3,” 1999, is very typical of Butcher’s black and white photographs of the Everglades. Taken with a large-format sheet film camera. Butcher has captured every aspect of the complex Everglades habitat in exquisite detail. With their crisp definition and elegant range of tone, this photograph brings to mind the primordial and the elemental. Donated by the artist.

3. Quick draw painting by Skip Smith. A member of the O.A.K. group founded by Ray Strong, Skip has been painting landscape and teaching art for many years.

Pastry Chef, Tracy Fleming, a food industry professional for over 25 years and owner of “Stewart & Clark Fine Foods / Ocean View Sweets” in Santa Barbara, joins with the Museum in offering this unique experience. The Royal Tea will include Savories, Sweets, and a complete tea service. NOTE: Royal Tea party must be pre-arranged at least one month in advance, cannot be scheduled on a Monday or Tuesday, limited to 16 people, and must end by 7:00pm

5. “Cuddling,” a framed glicee print by photographer Roger Craton of two Emperor Penguins flirting, this photograph was taken on the artist's 2005 expedition to Antarctica, and displayed in the Museum's recent exhibition, “Fragile Environments.” The artist lives part time in Santa Barbara and the rest of the year traveling or in Michigan.

10. “One Hundred Paintings,” an out-of-print full-color catalogue of Russell Chatham's paintings with an autobiographical essay by the artist. An autographed copy like this in good condition is worth $500 or more on E-Bay, and since the artist has donated it himself, he can provide a personal inscription to the winner. This is the only one available.
