Due to an overflow crowd for its last “Free Friday Flicks,” the Wildling Art Museum screened “The Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill,” again on February 10, 7 p.m. at the Museum’s Administrative Offices, 2948 Nojoqui Street, Suite 4, in Los Olivos. The film is an 83 minute feature documentary, produced in 2005, that tells the true story of a Bohemian St. Francis of Assisi and his amazing relationship with a flock of wild parrots. Mark Bittner, a homeless street musician living in San Francisco, adopts the flock as he searches for meaning in his life. He seems unaware that the wild parrots will bring him everything he needs. The film celebrates urban wildness (human and avian) and links the parrots’ antics to human ones.

The screening was free. The Museum also provides popcorn and cookies, wine, water, and soft drinks free of charge. For more information or directions, call 688-1082.
