If you are looking for something different to do on a Friday evening and meet other people with similar interests, join the Wildling Art Museum in Los Olivos for its program Free Friday Flicks. The first Friday of every month, the Museum screens outstanding films about nature artists and wildlife with an opportunity for socializing and discussion afterward. Popcorn (naturally), cookies, wine, bottled water and soft drinks are provided free of charge.
October 7, at 7 p.m., featured films about Americas most admired wildlife artists, Bob Kuhn and Robert Bateman. The Kuhn film was from the popular series of videos, Profiles in American Art. The Bateman film was produced by Mill Pond Press. Each film lasted about 30 minutes. An exhibition of Bob Kuhns paintings of North American mammals is currently on view at the Wildling Art Museum
The films were shown at the Wildlings new administrative offices 2948 Nojoqui Street (near the Los Olivos Dance Gallery). Please arrive on time. For more information, call 688-1082.
