Note: the movie was not shown on the 2nd Friday because the lst was Good FridayThe first Friday of each month, the Wildling Art Museum in Los Olivos, a museum devoted to the art of America’s wilderness, screens notable films about nature or art and invites the public to come see them free of charge. The Museum also provides free popcorn and cookies, wine, water, and soft drinks. Reservations are not required, but space is limited and seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

“Remuda”

This entertaining documentary, continues the story told in “Tapadero” and “Vaquero,” previous documentaries by Susan Jensen & Paul Singer. It traces the evolution of vaquero-style horsemanship which had its heart in the Santa Ynez Valley. The story follows the vaqueros as they move up to the Great Basin with the big California ranches. Enjoy a glimpse into California history, how the Spanish horsemanship influenced much of the west, and most importantly meet the people who are still living the life today. 90 minutes.
