Wildling Benefit Live Auction 2006

Following were the items that were being offered for the 2006 Live Auction:

bracelet

1. Ladies 10K yellow gold diamond bracelet.
7” long comprised of 35 round brilliant cut diamonds. The diamonds are set in 2-prong settings. Total estimated diamond weighs 5.02cts. The bracelet is quality stamped 10k. The total weight of the bracelet is 10.9grams. Clarity 11 I2 and color K L.

2. Two places on the horse-pack trip into the Dick Smith Wilderness.
October 18-20, 2006, Join intrepid devotees of Dick Smith for a three-day, two-night backpack or horse-pack trip into the San Rafael Wilderness. Horse-packers will be guided by Graham Goodfield, of Los Padres Outfitters which holds the only permit for overnight pack-trips with stock in the Los Padres National Forest. Entering the wilderness by separate routes, both groups will join up at the base camp. Joel Smith (Dick Smith’s son) and naturalist Liz Mason will accompany the trip.

3. Framed, signed print of “Grass Mountain” by Ray Strong.
The framing of the Ray Strong print was donated by Ken Shields of Collectors Gallery West in Lompoc.

A romantic dinner for six hosted by Executive Director Penny Knowles and her husband, Joe, in a spectacular wilderness setting within one hour’s driving distance of Los Olivos, on an evening with a full moon in July or August of 2007.

10. Framed oil painting, “Harvest Scene”, by Joseph Garibaldi, signed and dated 1890.

11. Picnic for 8 on Hollister Ranch overlooking the ocean.
Hosted by Ann and Royce Lewellen. Includes wine tasting of Lucas and Lewellen wines.

12. Mounted photographs of the California Condor and other subjects by the late Dick Smith.

13. A framed print of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, “Fall’s Red Brush Strokes,” by photographer Jeff Jones.
Dimensions: image size: 16x37 inches and frame size: 25.5x46 inches.

14. Day trip for 8-9 to the home of sculptor John Cody along the Manzana.
Includes transportation from Los Olivos and lunch with special barbecue cooked by John, and an opportunity to hear John’s own stories about Dick Smith and living in the Santa Barbara back country.

15. Day trip for 8 to the Condor Sanctuary at Bittercreek (near the Carrizo Plain).
A condor expert from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will accompany the group. Includes transportation and a picnic lunch.
