Chris Chapman

Born: February 2, 1950 in Pasadena, California
Education: University of Oregon, University of CA SB, SB City College

Chris is a member of the OAK Group of Santa Barbara based landscape painters. She is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, and Honorary Lifetime Member of the Santa Barbara Art Association. For ten years, Chris served as manager and executive director of Gallery 113. Since 1996, she is represented by the Easton Gallery in Montecito.

For the past ten years, Chris has been teaching art classes at Adult Education, currently Landscape Painting and Botanical Illustration. She has also enjoyed teaching a number of intensive landscape painting workshops locally.

Chris and artist husband John Iwerks happily share the artist’s life filled with many painting adventures. From 2001 to 2005, they co-managed Arroyo Hondo Preserve for The Land Trust for Santa Barbara County.
