The Wildling Art Museum invited patrons to enjoy a wonderful dinner and to bid on exciting auction items, such as original artworks, dinners, and vacation destinations during this fun-filled evening event. Festivities had already begun with previously sold raffle tickets for two exciting items: a beaded evening bag with coral motif by top designer Mary Frances (donated by 1st Street Leather in Solvang) and a small print of one of Diane G. Orrs photographs which were currently on exhibition at the Wildling Art Museum. Raffle tickets were $10 a piece or a set of six tickets for $50.00. The drawing was held at the benefit on September 17, winner did not need to be present.
The gala benefit evening opened with the new exhibition Bob Kuhn: Mammals Up Close and Personal and a silent auction at the Wildling Art Museum. Guests then moved next door to the courtyard of St. Marks Episcopal Church to enjoy a 3-course dinner catered by Pure Joy and to bid on exciting live auction items such as; Dolphin Family, a small bronze sculpture by Bud Bottoms; Pards, a framed original signed etching by Edward Borein, and a condominium for eight in Winter Park, Colorado among many other wonderful items. Absentee bid forms were available for those who could not attend the benefit. Tickets were $125 per person. Round-trip transportation from Santa Barbara by bus was available for a small additional fee.
