A summer art camp for ages
six through adult, called Art on the Wild Side,
iwas offered by the Wildling Art Museum on Saturday mornings, 10-noon,
in July and August. Session I (July 9, 16, 23 and 30), taught by
Melinda Weymouth,included rock painting, journaling, creating symbols
for story-telling, sand-painting and wire sculpture.
Session II (August 6, 13, 20 and 27), taught by Teresa McNeil
MacLean and Sara Norquay, taught landscape painting, watercolor,
torn-paper collage, and pastel drawing to music. Both sessions were
held on the grounds of the Museum, 2329 Jonata Street, in Los Olivos.
The classes provided individualized instruction and are ideal for parent or grand-parent and child together.
