The Wildling Art Museum invited participants to explore the private studios of eighteen Santa Ynez Valley artists, working in a variety of styles and mediums. They enjoyed a weekend in the heart of the Santa Barbara County Wine Country as they visited these unique studio locations and talked to the artists about their life and work.

The tour also included a reception for artists and participants Saturday evening (4-6 p.m.) in the Museum garden and galleries. This was also a prime opportunity to view the current exhibition, “The Poetry of Nature: Paintings and Lithographs by Russell Chatham” on display through January 6, 2008.

Participants started their adventure by picking up their tour packets which included a studio pass, postcards featuring each artist, and a map of the studio locations. Examples of the artists’ work was on display for participants to view before heading out.

Packets were distributed Nov. 17-18 at the Wildling Administrative Offices starting at 9:00 am.
