I
have been painting, drawing and designing since I can remember. My
formal training began with enthusiastic teachers in middle school and
continued through my degree in Art from Hunter College and an exciting
term at the University of California, Berkeley. I was fortunate to
study during the explosive time of Abstract Expressionism, which
influences my work to this day. I love all art, but am especially
excited by the creative developments from Kandinskys era
through
contemporary movements.
I have taught art to students ages 4 through 84 and I have been selling my work privately. A couple of years ago I began exhibiting publicly through the Studio Discovery Tour in Sonoma, the Spindrift Gallery and The Collaborative Show at Gualala Arts in Mendocino. I believe the aesthetic experience is intensely personal and through my work I invite the viewer to participate in the process.
