for Birds in Art

The annual autumn migration will be bringing birds from around the globe to the Wildling Art Museum. Sixty paintings, sculptures, and works on paper that depict birds in one context or another disprove the idea that "A bird is a bird is a bird is a bird." Sixty artists, representing the United States and ten other countries, will be showcasing their interpretation of this fascinating avian diversity.

This fall we are excited to be hosting a touring show put together by the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. It will be a stunning show, celebrating Birds in Art through a variety of media (including several sculptures). It will be the largest exhibition we have displayed in our new facility to date and a not-to-be-missed opportunity to appreciate the beauty and artistry of our feathered friends.

With the show being so large and the programming opportunities so exciting, you can imagine the budget for this show is larger than ususal. The ONLY way we are able to bring this quality exhibition to the Museum is with sponsorship. We invite you to be a partner in bringing Birds in Art to the Wildling. Donations of $100 to $499 will be acknowledged in our exterior courtyard with a 2-dimensional birdhouse with your name on it. Gifts over $500 will be acknowledged with a 3-dimensional birdhouse staked in our entry gardens with your name on it during the run of the exhibition.
